Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved a special Eid-el-Kabir goodwill package of N20,000 for civil servants across the state and the 44 local government areas.
The gesture, according to a statement issued on Monday by the Press Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Musa Tanko Muhammad, is aimed at supporting workers ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The statement said the package would benefit civil servants on Grade Levels 01 to 14 in state ministries as well as workers in local government councils across the state.
It explained that the intervention came shortly after the payment of May 2026 salaries and reflected the administration’s commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of workers in Kano State.
According to the statement, the governor considered it necessary to provide additional relief in view of the prevailing economic realities and the financial demands associated with festive periods.
“The initiative is intended to enable workers celebrate the Eid with joy, comfort and renewed hope alongside their families and loved ones,” the statement noted.

The government added that the move further demonstrated the administration’s inclusive governance philosophy and determination to ensure that workers benefit from people-oriented policies and programmes.
Governor Yusuf also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare, enhancing productivity and sustaining a motivated public service capable of delivering quality service to the people of Kano State.
He further extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to civil servants and residents of the state, praying for peace, unity, prosperity and continued blessings for Kano State and Nigeria at large.
