The Presidential Support Organisation (PSO) has expressed confidence in the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack, following her appearance before the House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee investigating issues surrounding the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
In a statement, the organisation said its position followed a review of the proceedings of the committee, particularly the testimony of the Head of the Civil Service, which it said demonstrated that her office acted in line with established public service rules and procedures.
The PSO noted that the clarification by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service that it neither allocated office accommodation nor deployed personnel to the purported council reflected its commitment to due process, professionalism and institutional accountability.
According to the organisation, Mrs. Walson-Jack has continued to provide exemplary leadership in the Federal Civil Service through reforms aimed at modernising public administration, promoting digital transformation and improving service delivery across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
It further commended her efforts to improve the welfare, motivation and professional development of civil servants through capacity-building initiatives and policies that encourage excellence, productivity, innovation and ethical conduct. The organisation said these initiatives align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
PFIPC Saga: About Due Process, Not One Man- Kwankwasiyya Insists
The PSO also credited the Head of the Civil Service with championing reforms designed to strengthen institutional governance, enhance workforce planning, encourage continuous learning and promote transparency, accountability, inclusiveness and the digitisation of administrative processes.
The organisation maintained that the Office of the Head of the Civil Service acted appropriately by insisting on compliance with legal and administrative requirements in handling matters relating to the purported PFIPC, describing the stance as evidence of integrity and respect for due process.
It stressed that public institutions can only maintain credibility when their leaders uphold established procedures regardless of external pressure or public controversy, adding that Mrs. Walson-Jack’s actions reflected commitment to the rule of law, institutional discipline and national interest.
The PSO urged Nigerians not to associate the Office of the Head of the Civil Service with matters in which, according to the committee proceedings, it acted lawfully and professionally. It also called on investigative and judicial authorities to continue their work impartially and ensure that anyone found culpable is held accountable in accordance with the law.
The organisation reaffirmed its support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged continued backing for public officials it described as demonstrating integrity, patriotism, innovation and selfless service. It expressed confidence that the ongoing reforms under Mrs. Walson-Jack’s leadership would further strengthen the Federal Civil Service and enhance its capacity to drive national development.
