The Chairman of Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Hon. Abdullahi Ishaq Yan Awaki, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain united and work collectively towards strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting convened at the Local Government Secretariat to strengthen unity among party members, the chairman said collaboration among party leaders, political appointees and supporters remained crucial to sustaining the APC’s political stability in the area.
The meeting drew prominent APC stakeholders, including former Chairman of Tsanyawa Local Government and former member representing Tsanyawa/Ghari Constituency, Hon. Safiyanu Harbar, Caucus Chairman Alhaji Hamisu Gurun, Alhaji Abubakar Mai Wada, Alhaji Sunusi Nassarawa, former council chairman Hon. Kabiru Dumbulum, Hon. Hamza Gezawa, other stakeholders including Vice Chairman, Secretary, House Leader, and other party officials and advisers like Dr. Kabiru Bawa, Chief of Staff and Abubakar Maidaraja, Protocol.
Hon. Yan Awaki expressed appreciation to party leaders, youths, women and political office holders for their continued support and loyalty. He also commended Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as the governor’s dedication to the development of Tsanyawa Local Government.
He urged all APC stakeholders in the area to close ranks and remain committed to ensuring the party’s success at all levels in subsequent elections.
Meanwhile, hundreds of residents benefited from a free medical outreach organised by the Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) in collaboration with the Kano State House of Assembly aspirant for Tsanyawa/Ghari Constituency, Hajiya Aisha Lawan Yandadi.

The outreach offered free medical consultations, laboratory investigations, X-ray examinations, disease screening, treatment, distribution of essential medicines and health education.

Beneficiaries were also enrolled into the Kano State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme to enable them to continue accessing affordable healthcare services after the exercise.
Speaking at the event held at Tsanyawa Hospital, Hon. Yan Awaki commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the leadership of KSCHMA and Hajiya Aisha Lawan Yandadi for bringing healthcare intervention to the LGA, describing the initiative as a step toward improving access to quality healthcare for residents.
The council chairman also expressed positiveness that the APC would record victory in future elections, citing the growing support for the party’s people-oriented programmes.
In another intervention also held at the LGA Secretariat, youths across Tsanyawa Local Government received N50,000 each under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s monthly empowerment initiative aimed at providing start-up capital for small businesses.

Under the programme, ten beneficiaries are selected every month from each electoral ward in the local government.
Similarly, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Women’s Affairs distributed wrappers to about 100 women in Tsanyawa Local Government as part of efforts to improve women’s welfare and provide support to vulnerable members of the community.
