Kano state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has called for the strengthening of the longstanding bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria, through shared perspective on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 with the aim to completely reshape it’s economy.
The governor spoke during the Saudi Arabia National Day 2024 Celebration to commemorate the founding of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932, organized by the Royal Consulate General in Kano, held on Monday.

Represented by his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the governor noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains a shining example of development in the Middle East and re-emphasised the need for shared vision for the progress and prosperity of people in both countries.
In his remark, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kano, Mr. Khalil Ahmad Adamawi, highlighted the significance of the occasion, marking 94 years since King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud unified the Kingdom, creating a strong and stable entity.

He said over the years, the Kingdom has attained economic prosperity in various fields which include, among others, 50 per cent increase in Gross Domestic Products, lowest level of unemployment, increased percentage of citizens owning homes, tourism target from 100 million in 2019 to 109 million in 2023.
The the event, which brought together government officials, traditional rulers, members of the diplomatic, business community within and outside Nigeria featured presentation of awards of recognition to various individuals.
