The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that intending pilgrims who fail to submit valid international passports on or before August 25, 2026 may not be allocated Hajj seats.

The announcement was signed by Sulaiman A. Dederi, Public Relations Officer of the Board, and issued on Sunday.

The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, gave the directive as part of efforts to ensure timely registration and documentation ahead of the forthcoming Hajj exercise.

He said the deadline is necessary to complete enrolment of all intending pilgrims before the anticipated closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server at the end of August.

According to him, any registered intending pilgrim who fails to meet the deadline risks losing his or her allocation.

The Director-General urged all intending pilgrims in Kano State who are yet to submit their passports to do so without further delay and ensure the documents are submitted to the appropriate authorities on or before August 25, 2026.

He added that the Board would not be responsible for any consequences arising from failure to comply with the stated deadline.

All registered intending pilgrims have been advised to treat the information with urgency and ensure full compliance within the stipulated period.
