Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday led a delegation on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to condole with the people of Bebeji Local Government Area over the death of veteran politician and respected community leader, Alhaji Danlami Kofa.
The delegation was received by the member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa, alongside family members, political associates and community leaders.
Speaking during the visit, Garo described the late Danlami Kofa as a dedicated statesman whose contributions to Bebeji, Kano State and the nation would be remembered. He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family.
Alhaji Danlami Kofa passed away on Thursday after a brief illness and was laid to rest in his hometown of Kofa, Bebeji Local Government Area, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Deputy Governor also visited family of the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Marshal, Alhaji Babangida Sa’id (IBB), to sympathise over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Inna Sa’id, who died last Sunday.

He prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings, envelop her with His mercy, and grant her eternal rest in Aljannah.

In a separate engagement, Garo attended the wedding Fatiha of Sani Aminu Tsanyawa and Aisha Aliyu at Imam Malik Mosque, Gaida, where he represented the groom as Wakili.
The groom is the son of Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission and former Kano State Commissioner for Health. The marriage was solemnised with a dowry of N150,000 in line with Islamic tradition.
Garo congratulated the families and prayed for Allah’s guidance, protection and abundant blessings upon the newlyweds.
The Deputy Governor later paid a sympathy visit to Alhaji Yushau Shuaibu, father of former Director-General of the Kano State Agency for the Control of AIDS (KSACA), Dr. Sabitu Yushau Shanono, who is receiving treatment at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH).

He prayed for Allah to grant the ailing elder a quick and complete recovery.
