Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Friday attended the Wedding Fatiha of Dr. Abdurrahman Abdullahi Mahmoud Gaya and Labiba Ahmed Mohammed (Mami) at Al Furqan Juma’at Mosque in Kano, alongside prominent personalities, relatives and well-wishers.
Dr. Abdurrahman is the son of former member of the House of Representatives for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmoud Gaya.
The marriage was solemnized in line with Islamic injunctions before a congregation of distinguished guests drawn from across Kano State and beyond.

Former Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, served as the Wakili (representative) of the groom during the ceremony, while a dowry of N500,000 was paid to formalize the marriage.

Deputy Governor Garo congratulated the newlyweds and their families, praying for Allah’s guidance, enduring peace, love and abundant blessings in their new home.
He encouraged the couple to uphold the values of patience, mutual respect and understanding, urging them to build a marriage anchored on Islamic principles.
The wedding attracted an array of dignitaries, including political leaders, senior government officials, traditional title holders, Islamic clerics, associates and friends, who offered prayers and best wishes for a successful and blissful union.
