Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has urged parents and community leaders to ensure that younger generations learn and imbibe the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Garo made the call on Saturday while delivering a message on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at a Maulud gathering organised by former Chairman of Dala Local Government Area, Hon. Ibrahim Sulaiman Dan-Isle Dodar, at Mambayya House, Gwammaja, Kano.
He said teaching children about the life and conduct of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) would help nurture a generation grounded in honesty, trustworthiness, justice, kindness and respect for others.
The Deputy Governor said Muslims should demonstrate their love for the Prophet not only through Maulud gatherings but by applying his teachings in their daily lives.

He urged the people to uphold regular prayers, good character and honesty, while showing respect to parents, neighbours, fellow Muslims and other members of society.
Garo further encouraged Muslims to study the history and life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), saying his exemplary conduct provides guidance for building peaceful and morally responsible communities.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to enable Muslims to follow the Prophet’s example and strengthen faith, love, peace and unity in the society.
