Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to sustain unity and cooperation in support of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s Kano First Agenda.
Garo made the appeal while receiving members of the Forum of Immediate Past Party Executives during a courtesy visit to congratulate him on his emergence as Deputy Governor.
The Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the strong bond and commitment that continue to exist among party members. He commended the forum for fostering unity within the party, noting that the foundation laid by former executives has contributed significantly to its growth and stability.
“Your legacy of togetherness within the party is still being enjoyed today and has continued to strengthen the party,” he said.
Garo stressed the need for continued harmony among stakeholders, emphasizing that a united front would enhance efforts to support Governor Yusuf’s administration in delivering its development agenda for Kano State.

Speaking Elearlier, the leader of the delegation and former party Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Maigari, said the visit was aimed at congratulating the Deputy Governor on his new position and reaffirming the forum’s commitment to the progress of the party and the state.
“This forum stands firmly with you and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. Our maximum support is dedicated to the progress and development of Kano State,” Maigari stated.
He expressed satisfaction with the Deputy Governor’s performance since assuming office and voiced confidence in his ability to assist Governor Yusuf in fulfilling his mandate.
Also speaking, former Kano North Party Chairman, Alhaji Sani Muqadas, said the delegation came to celebrate with the Deputy Governor and offer prayers for wisdom and success in the discharge of his responsibilities.
“We are here to celebrate with you and pray to Allah to guide you in all your affairs,” he said.
Muqadas described Garo as a compassionate and humanitarian leader and assured him of the forum’s continued support for the state government in advancing initiatives that would benefit the people of Kano.
Highlight of the function includes presentation of congratulatory letter to the Deputy Governor and group photograph.
