The Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) Programme in Kano State has launched a Quarterly Feedback Forum to deepen engagement with beneficiaries and improve the delivery of its interventions across participating local government areas.
The Knowledge Management and Communication (KMC) Officer of the programme, Hajiya Rabi Mustapha Sadiq, disclosed this in a media statement issued on Wednesday in Kano.
She said the forum brought together farmers, agro-processors, traders, women and youth groups, representatives of farmer organisations, members of the SAPZ Multi-Stakeholder Agribusiness Forum (MAF), government agencies and other stakeholders to exchange experiences and raise concerns about the programme.
According to her, the platform is designed to create direct and open communication between the programme and its beneficiaries, while improving transparency, accountability and responsiveness in implementation.
“Through the Quarterly Feedback Forum, beneficiaries can speak directly about SAPZ activities, highlight what is working, point out challenges and suggest practical solutions,” she said.

Hajiya Rabi added that the initiative will strengthen communication between SAPZ and communities across participating local government areas, ensuring that farmers, women, youth, agro-processors and traders have a stronger voice in the programme.
She urged beneficiaries and stakeholders to take active part in the forum, describing it as a platform for dialogue, learning, problem-solving and improved service delivery.
Also in his remarks, the State Programme Coordinator, Alhaji Aminu Iliyasu, said beneficiaries remain central to the success of the programme, adding that their feedback is critical to improving results on the ground.
He explained that the forum will not only surface challenges but also help stakeholders jointly develop workable solutions to issues affecting implementation.
“The forum gives the State Programme Implementation Unit (SPIU) the opportunity to listen directly to beneficiaries, clarify processes, document concerns and use feedback to improve planning and delivery,” he said.
