The Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR) has congratulated Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba on his appointment as Chairman of the Kano State 2027 Blueprint Committee.
In a statement signed by its Executive Administrator, Nafisa Shehu Ibrahim, the organisation also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for constituting the committee to review the implementation of the 2023 Blueprint and develop a new roadmap for 2027.
CHR described Dr. Magashi, Coordinator of the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN) and Chairman of the AMG Foundation, as a seasoned development expert with vast experience in public health, policy development, accountability, and health systems strengthening.

The organisation expressed confidence that the committee, under his leadership, would produce an inclusive, practical, and people-centred blueprint to drive sustainable development in Kano State.
It also urged the committee to prioritise maternal, newborn, and child health by strengthening child protection, expanding immunisation, improving primary healthcare, and increasing access to quality healthcare services.
CHR reaffirmed its commitment to supporting evidence-based policymaking, stronger health systems, and sustainable development, while pledging continued collaboration with the Kano State Government and other stakeholders to improve the well-being of the people.
