Youth O’Clock Nigeria Trains 200 Uniformed Organizations in Gombe

The Gombe State chapter of Youth O’Clock Nigeria Advancement Association has trained 200 members of various uniformed organizations on critical skills, including firefighting, first aid, and teamwork.

The event, held over the weekend in Gombe State, aimed to enhance the capacity of voluntary uniformed groups in maintaining law and order, providing emergency services, and fostering community development.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the association, Abdulaziz Sani Labaran, highlighted the importance of the training.

He explained that it was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to perform their duties more effectively.

“This initiative is part of our efforts to promote youth development, community engagement, and public safety. By empowering voluntary uniform organizations, it aims to create a safer and more secure environment for citizens while also providing young people with valuable skills and experience,” Labaran said.

On his part,The Director of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Malam Ibrahim Kanku, commended Youth O’Clock Nigeria for its outstanding and impactful contributions.

He encouraged the association to continue striving for excellence and urged youths to take active roles in leadership and humanitarian efforts to contribute to national progress.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Gombe Network of Civil Society (GONET), Ibrahim Yusuf, praised the initiative and assured the association of his unwavering support. “My door is always open to help the association achieve its dreams,” Yusuf stated.

The training program was graced by esteemed guests, including the Commissioner of Police and representatives of other security agencies, reflecting the significance of the initiative in enhancing public safety and community development in Gombe State.
