What would you tell Clockwisereports concerning the invention of oven; I mean how did you start from the scratch?

Well, I can say since when I was young, I am inspired to design and create innovation, that is what drew my father’s attention to take me to one engineer called Ishaq Shehu Sagagi in order to guide me on innovation especial on the equipment and machines that are related to farm.

Regard to this oven, I can say I’m not the one that first invented it, it was my boos Ishaq Shehu Sagagi, but the one he created uses only charcoal, but when I come I realized that something has to be done in order to improve it, I decided to redesigned it again, and come up with new design. My own design uses charcoal, cooking gas and it also has temperature gauge unlike the previous version that only uses charcoal and no temperature gauge.

And also, I used galvanize steel to built it while he used black iron, so you see the differences.

What inspired you to innovate on this oven?

I observed that so many bread bakers face a lot challenges, in terms of their production, like they spend huge amount of money buying firewood for baking and fire hood consumed energy, money and time. That is why I invented this oven that uses charcoal and cooking gas in order to minimize the cost of production and serve the time. Now bakers has two options whether to use charcoal or cooking gas for there production.

How did you source for raw materials and other things while inventing this oven, did you get any financial support to produce it.

Actually, I got support from my family and also I used the little amount I earned from my business to buy the raw materials, that was how I make it happened.

What are the major challenges that you encountered?

My major challenges are lack of standard electricity in the country and capital. I uses petrol for most of my work, and that is hard for me, because if I buy fuel for my work, whatever I produced most be expensive unlike if I used electricity, and you know people don’t want expensive things, they won’t patronized me.

How do you see yourself in the future?

I hope from now to next year I want to engage myself with bread bakers’ companies and show them how easy and cheap my oven is, compare to the traditional one they use, that will make them to patronized me and it would help me to grow my business to the next level.

What message do you have for the youths?

My advice for them is to wake up and hustle, and also I urge them to embrace manual work, that will help them to depend on themselves, because there is  no job available in this country, one must try his possible best to be self-employed.
