Dandume Community Gets Six-Classroom School as Hon. Adamu Ladan Hands Over Project

A six-classroom school constructed for the people of Tudun Badole in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State has been handed over to the local government and the benefiting community.

The project was initiated and sponsored by Hon. Adamu S. Ladan as part of his contribution towards improving access to education and supporting the development of the community.

Speaking during the handover ceremony held on Friday, August 21, 2026, Ladan described the project as a modest contribution towards education and community development.

“I consider this project a modest contribution on my part towards supporting education and the development of our communities. I believe that education is the foundation of societal development.”

He urged parents and community leaders to ensure that children, particularly girls, are given the opportunity to benefit from the new educational facility.

Ladan also called on the people of Tudun Badole to take ownership of the school by protecting and maintaining its facilities.

He further appealed to teachers to use the opportunity to provide pupils with quality education and proper upbringing, stressing that the future of Dandume, Katsina State and Nigeria depends on the children being raised today.

Ladan expressed appreciation to individuals and authorities whose support contributed to the completion of the project.

He specifically acknowledged the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, whom he said played a role in creating the opportunity for the project.

He also appreciated Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD; Chairman of Dandume Local Government, Alhaji Bashir Sabi’u Gyazama; and the member representing Dandume Local Government in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Alhaji Yahaya Nuhu Mahuta, for their cooperation.

The project initiator also commended community leaders, contractors and workers for their contributions towards the successful completion of the school.

“I pray that Almighty Allah will make this school a beacon of knowledge that will produce teachers, doctors, engineers, leaders and other professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the development of our communities and the nation at large” He wished.

In his remarks, the member representing Dandume in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Yahaya Nuhu Mahuta, commended Alhaji Adamu Ladan for the significant effort towards providing the school.

He said the establishment of schools of this nature would help reduce the distance children travel in search of education while increasing access to learning opportunities for residents of the area.

Also speaking at the occasion, Chairman of Dandume Local Government, Hon. Bashir Sabi’u Gyazama, urged other indigenes of Dandume who are working outside the area to emulate Hon. Adamu Ladan and support educational development in the local government.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Dandume Local Government, Hon. Bashir Sabi’u Gyazama; Hon. Yahaya Nuhu Mahuta, member representing Dandume in the Katsina State House of Assembly; Marafan Dandume, Alhaji Lawal Danmummunu; Hajiya Umma Jafar Dandume, Education Secretary of Dandume Local Government; and other education stakeholders.
